Why This Research Matters

This study is part of the researcher’s doctoral education program. It examines how software developers in DoD contractor firms perceive, adopt and diffuse structured security testing practices in the waterfall development model to improve software security.

What Developers Need to Know

🔹 One-time, confidential Zoom interview (45–60 minutes)

🔹 Voluntary participation – participants may withdraw at any time

🔹 Participants will be de-identified to ensure confidentiality

🔹  Participants will receive a $100 Amazon gift card upon completing the interview and transcript review

🔐 Important Note on Privacy

Participants will not be asked to share the name of their employer or any details about specific projects. The study focuses solely on your personal experiences and perspectives regarding how cybersecurity principles—particularly structured security testing—are communicated, adopted, and applied within the waterfall development model.
